Tungsten-rhenium alloy is a kind of alloy composed of tungsten matrix and adding different content of rhenium. Both tungsten and rhenium are refractory metals. Combined with the "rhenium effect", W-Re alloys exhibit better ductility, higher recrystallization temperatures, better creep resistance, and higher electrical resistivity than tungsten. W-Re alloy has good mechanical properties and can be processed and welded.

Tungsten-rhenium alloy has different applications in high temperature parts and temperature measurement because of its excellent high temperature performance. Mainly include:

1. Aerospace: Tungsten-rhenium alloy is used in aerospace high-temperature parts and temperature measurement system.

2. Semiconductor industry: Due to its excellent physical properties, Tungsten-rhenium alloy is used in high temperature parts of equipment used in the semiconductor industry, such as heating device, temperature measuring device, etc.

3. Welding industry: friction stir welding welding joint. Tungsten-rhenium alloy has good inhomogeneous plasticity, high strength and hardness, which is usually called "rhenium effect". Due to the rhenium effect, tungsten-Rhenium alloy has a series of excellent properties, such as high melting point, high hardness, high strength, high plasticity, high resistivity, high thermoelectric potential, high recrystallization temperature, low vapor pressure, low electronic work escape and low ductilo-brittle transition temperature. Tungsten-rhenium alloy is an excellent structural material in high temperature technology. It has been widely used in electronic technology, thermal control, modern nuclear technology and space navigation technology, temperature measurement field, instrumentation, electrical appliances and other cutting-edge technology fields.
