Titanium Alloy Serrated Flat Wire

The preparation method of titanium alloy serrated flat wire involves first placing a titanium alloy round wire into a vacuum furnace and heating it to 650℃-900℃, holding it at that temperature for 1-2 hours, and then cooling it in the furnace. The titanium alloy round wire is then removed from the vacuum furnace and subjected to alkali and acid washing. Any quality defects found on the surface of the titanium alloy round wire are then repaired by grinding. It is then placed in an electric furnace and heated at 600℃-1100℃. The heated titanium alloy round wire is then fed online into a roller mill for rolling to obtain a semi-finished flat wire. The semi-finished flat wire is then reheated in the electric furnace at the same temperature of 600℃-1100℃. The semi-finished flat wire after the second heating is again fed online into a roller mill for rolling to obtain a finished flat wire. After straightening, the finished flat wire is placed in a die and patterned to obtain a finished serrated flat wire with serrated edges on both sides. This invention has a simple and easy-to-implement process, and the resulting serrated flat wire is corrosion-resistant, high-strength, lightweight, and low-cost. It can be used in screws and nuts for high-end mobile phones and has high practical value.

The preparation method of titanium alloy serrated flat wire includes the following steps:
1) Take a titanium alloy round wire of suitable diameter;
2) Place the titanium alloy round wire into a vacuum furnace, evacuate the furnace to a vacuum degree of 1.5×10⁻³-1.5×10⁻⁴ Pa, heat to 650℃-900℃, hold for 1-2 hours, and cool with the furnace;
3) Remove the titanium alloy round wire from the vacuum furnace, immerse it in an alkaline solution for 1-5 minutes, remove and wash with water; then immerse it in an acidic solution for 5-15 minutes, remove and wash with water;
4) Repair and grind any quality defects found on the surface of the titanium alloy round wire after alkaline and acid washing;
5) The ground titanium alloy round wire is placed in an electric furnace and heated to 600℃-1100℃;
6) The heated titanium alloy round wire is fed online into a roller mill for rolling to obtain a semi-finished flat wire;
7) The semi-finished flat wire is reheated in the electric furnace, again maintaining the temperature at 600℃-1100℃;
8) The semi-finished flat wire, after a second heating, is fed online again into a roller mill for rolling to obtain a finished flat wire;
9) The finished flat wire is directly straightened using tension straightening or a roller straightener;
10) The straightened finished flat wire is placed in a die and patterned to obtain a serrated flat wire with serrated sides.

The preparation method of titanium alloy serrated flat wire, finished cross-sectional dimensions: thickness 0.5mm, width 2mm. 1) Take a TB5 titanium alloy round wire with a diameter of Φ1mm; 2) Place the titanium alloy round wire into a vacuum furnace, evacuate the furnace to a vacuum level of 1.5×10⁻³-1.5×10⁻⁴ Pa, heat to 650℃, hold for 1 hour, and cool with the furnace; 3) Remove the titanium alloy round wire from the vacuum furnace, immerse it in an alkaline solution for 1 minute, then rinse with water; then immerse it in an acidic solution for 5 minutes, then rinse with water; the alkaline solution is a sodium hydride solution heated to a molten state at 450℃-550℃; the acidic solution is composed of nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and water in a weight percentage of 40-50%, 3-10%, and 40-60%, respectively. 4) Repair and grind any quality defects found on the surface of the titanium alloy round wire after alkali and acid pickling; 5) Place the ground titanium alloy round wire in an electric furnace and heat it at 600℃; 6) Roll the heated titanium alloy round wire online into a roller mill to obtain a semi-finished flat wire with a thickness of 0.8mm and a width of 1.5mm; 7) Reheat the semi-finished flat wire in the electric furnace, again maintaining the temperature at 600℃; 8) The semi-finished flat wire after the second heating is rolled again online into a roller mill to obtain a finished flat wire with a thickness of 0.5mm and a width of 2mm; if the rolled flat wire does not meet the finished product requirements, repeat steps 7) and 8) until a qualified finished flat wire is obtained. 9) Directly apply electricity to the finished flat wire for tension straightening or straighten and shape using a roller straightener; 10) Place the straightened finished flat wire into a die to create a serrated flat wire with serrated sides.
