Nb521 niobium-tungsten alloy is indeed a "core" material in aerospace engines, specifically designed for extreme high-temperature environments. Its core advantages lie in its ultra-high strength, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance. It can operate stably for extended periods above 1500℃, and is more than three times stronger than traditional materials. High-Temperature Strength: At 1500℃, its strength is more than three times that of the first-generation alloy C103, with a melting point as high as 2468℃. Oxidation Resistance: The addition of zirconium (Zr) forms a dense oxide layer, slowing corrosion and extending service life. Machining Performance: The niobium matrix ensures good plasticity, allowing it to be machined into complex components. Applications: Aerospace Engines: Rocket engine nozzles, combustion chambers (such as SpaceX Raptor engines). Aerospace Components: Aircraft engine hot-end components (turbine blades, combustion chambers). Energy Equipment: Nuclear reactor heat exchangers, solar collectors. Chemical Equipment: Reactors in high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive environments.

Composition Optimization: Carbon content is controlled at 850-1000 mg/L to improve high-temperature strength. Coating Technology: Molybdenum silicide-based coatings extend service life; ZrB2/YSZ composite coatings operate effectively for over 8 hours at 1850℃. Manufacturing Process: Electron beam melting + plastic forming, combined with additive manufacturing to enhance performance.

Main Application Areas: Aerospace engines: Rocket engine nozzles, combustion chambers (e.g., SpaceX Raptor engine), satellite orbit control engines. Aerospace Components: Aircraft engine hot-end components (turbine blades, combustion chambers). Energy Equipment: heat exchangers, solar collectors. Chemical Equipment: Reactors in high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive environments. Other Fields: Weapon propulsion, rocket and missile liquid bicomponent engines, submersibles, gas turbines, automotive engines, diesel engines, high-temperature furnace heating belts, high-temperature molds, high-temperature fixtures, and high-temperature crucibles.

3D Printing Technology: Spherical Nb521 powder was used to 3D print orbit control engine components, achieving a record of 2000 consecutive ignitions without attenuation on the BeiDou satellite. Coating Technology: Molybdenum silicide-based coatings extend service life; ZrB2/YSZ composite coatings operate effectively for over 8 hours at 1850℃. Manufacturing Process: Electron beam melting + plastic forming, combined with additive manufacturing to enhance performance.
