Vanadium Rotatable Target Introduction

  • Vanadium dioxide thin films undergo phase transition metal phase to semi-conducting phase at 68℃. With the transition, reversible saltation of the electrical and optical properties occurs, turning the thin films into a ideal functional material for producing electrical, optical devices, such as micro-bolometers, memorizers, photo switches and etc. By thin films doping technologies, the phase-transition temperature can be reduced to room temperature. Transmission coefficient of phase-transition coating will change while temperature changes. It is particularly effective in smart glass windows. And it is significant for energy saving.

Vanadium Rotatable Target Production

  • According to customers’ requests, a new method of extruding is developed to produce vanadium rotatable target in stable quality. And bulk production is available. It is produced by smelting the vanadium ingots twice with electron-beam, mechanical processing, smoothing the inner and outer surface on a lathe, drilling the center hole. Clad inner vanadium blank tube, wall thickness and end surfaces with coating materials, and weld them hermetically. The vanadium tube is extruded to requested dimensions after heated at high temperature. Usually the size of the vanadium tube is OD 154 x ID 125mm x length is between 1 meter and 2 meters per piece. Purity can reach 99.9%. Vanadium tubes are custom-made on each client’s request.
