Tantalum and tantalum tungsten recovery material preparation

Tantalum and tantalum tungsten recovery materials are used to prepare tantalum 2.5W alloy ingots. By acid/washing, hydrogenation, dehydrogenation and grinding screen of tantalum or tantalum tungsten alloy recovery materials, 200 tantalum powder or tantalum tungsten alloy powder is prepared. After analysis, detection, preparation, pressing and placing in the vacuum sintering furnace, tantalum 2.5 tungsten alloy sintered strips are prepared. Then the sintered strip is smelted in vacuum electron beam furnace to obtain tantalum 2.5 tungsten alloy ingots. In this application, tantalum 2.5 tungsten alloy ingots conforming to specific conditions and relevant quality standards are prepared by using the corner recovery material generated in the processing process of tantalum or tantalum tungsten alloy through the multi-step fire process. This application realizes the recovery and reuse of tantalum and tantalum tungsten alloy recovery materials in short process and high yield, and solves the problems in the existing production methods of tantalum 2.5 tungsten alloy ingot, such as complicated process, numerous processes, low yield of tantalum and tungsten metal, and large environmental pollution in the production process.

Tantalum - tungsten binary alloy is formed by adding a certain amount of tungsten into tantalum, which combines the corrosion resistance of tantalum and the good high temperature strength of tungsten. This alloy has the advantages of high temperature resistance, high strength, good fracture toughness, corrosion resistance, etc., and has been used in aviation, aerospace, chemical industry, nuclear industry, high temperature technology and other fields.

In the traditional process of producing tantalum 2.5W (tantalum 2.5W for short) alloy ingot, the processing process line of hydrometallurgy purification and recovery is adopted, as shown in Figure 1. The finished ingot billet is obtained through full mixing and multiple smelting of tantalum powder and tungsten powder.

A method of producing tantalum 2.5 tungsten alloy ingots from tantalum and tantalum tungsten recovered materials is provided to solve the problems of the traditional process of producing tantalum and tantalum tungsten alloy ingots by acid decomposition, metal reduction and purification, and then using tantalum powder and tungsten powder to produce tantalum 2.5 tungsten alloy ingots, such as complicated process, many processes, low yield of tantalum and tungsten metal, and great environmental pollution in the production process.
