The high NbTiAl based alloy was obtained by melting in vacuum arc furnace using sponge titanium, niobium-titanium alloy and aluminum-bean as raw materials. The consumable electrode was formed by pressing and welding. The invention adopts the method of mixing and cloth to prepare electrode block; The high NbTiAl based alloy with uniform composition and no crack can be obtained by three times melting in vacuum arc melting furnace and slowly cooling by sand embedding or annealing treatment. The method of the invention is simple and easy to operate, and the method of the invention can produce high NbTiAl base alloy with uniform composition, no segregation and inclusion.

The electrode block was prepared by combining mixture and cloth. The vacuum arc melting furnace was used for three times melting, and the furnace was slowly cooled by burying sand or annealing in the furnace. These three measures were taken to obtain NbTiAl alloy ingot with uniform composition and no crack. The method is simple, easy to operate, and can achieve the purpose of producing homogeneous NbTiAl alloy without crack and segregation. High NbTiAl based alloy with uniform composition, no segregation and inclusion can be obtained by the method of the invention.

Furthermore, the intermediate ingot is more current, which is conducive to the full melting of refractory niobium metal, and the finished product is more current smelting, which is conducive to the full alloying, reduce the shrinkage hole, and get the homogeneous high NbTiAl alloy ingot.

The mixture A was divided into three parts, namely A1, A2 and A3, and the aluminum bean was divided into two parts, namely B1 and B2.
