Preparation method of high purity vanadium wire

1) Vanadium powder pretreatment:
The vanadium powder was added into the HNO3 solution with a concentration of 30wt% and stirred until it was slurry, then it was stirred and cleaned with deionized water. Rinse was stopped when the test solution was neutral, and then vacuum drying was performed to obtain the pretreated vanadium powder.

2) Pressing molding:
The pre-treated vanadium powder obtained in Step 1) was pressed into a fixed shape of vanadium metal with a pressing pressure of 200Mpa-280mpa and a holding time of 60s-120s.
3) Vacuum sintering:
Step 2) The obtained vanadium metal is sintered in a vacuum furnace and cooled with the furnace;

4) Electron beam smelting:
The sintered vanadium metal is slowly sent into the electron gun bombardment zone of the electron beam melting furnace, and the furnace is vacuumized to 10-3Pa ~ 10-4Pa. When vanadium metal drops into the bottom pad of the water-cooled copper crucible, the ingot is slowly spirally pulled down and formed into vanadium ingot, and the ingot is flayed.

5) Packing forging:
Step 4) The obtained vanadium ingot cladding forging: heating temperature 900℃ ~ 1100℃, holding time 8min ~ 15min, initial forging temperature 1000℃ ~ 1100℃, final forging temperature 850℃ ~ 950℃, to obtain vanadium metal rod;

6) Rotary forging:
Rotary forging of the vanadium metal rod obtained in Step 5: the deformation processing rate of single pass is 10%~15%, the heating temperature is 1000℃ ~ 1100℃, and the heating time is 3min ~ 7min to obtain vanadium wire;

7) Pulling:
After the rotary forged vanadium metal rod cold drawing, the deformation processing amount of a single pass is 5% ~ 15%, the cumulative deformation amount of the current pass is 40% ~ 60%, vacuum annealing, drawing to φ1.0mm ~ φ1.5mm fine vanadium wire;

8) Continuous electrolytic polishing cleaning:
In NaOH solution with 5%-10%wt alkali concentration, the electrolytic current 5A ~ 10A continuous electrolytic polishing cleaning step 7) to obtain fine vanadium wire, and the wire collecting rate is 3 ~ 5m/min.

9) Annealing treatment:
Vacuum annealing temperature 800℃ ~ 900℃, holding time 15min ~ 20min, with furnace cooling, high purity vanadium wire.
