A near β -type Ti-Nb-Ta-Zr alloy with low elastic modulus, the near β -type Ti-Nb-Ta-Zr alloy is composed of niobium, tantalum, zirconium and titanium, the weight percentage of niobium is 28%-32%, tantalum 4%-5.5%, zirconium 5%-15%, and the allowance is titanium. A preparation method: batching according to the above ratio, button Shaped Ti-Nb-Ta-Zr ingot is melted by vacuum non-consumable electric arc furnace. After hot forging, the button-shaped Ti-NB-Ta-Zr ingot was forged into sheet metal with size of 3mm×30mm×70mm. The single phase β structure was obtained by solution treatment at 750℃ to 800℃ and water quenching. After solution, the samples were aged at 450℃-500℃ and air-cooled to obtain the two-phase structure of β phase + dispersion α phase. The alloy can be widely used for repairing human hard tissue and replacing medical materials and other medical devices.

Titanium alloy has been widely used in orthopedics, cosmetic surgery, cardiovascular and other fields because of its high strength, low elastic modulus, good biocompatibility and excellent corrosion resistance. At present, Ti-6A1-4V is the most widely used titanium alloy clinically, but this alloy contains TWO elements, V and Al, Al can cause symptoms such as osteomalacia, anemia and nervous turbulence, vanadium is also considered to be toxic to organisms, toxicity is more than M and Cr. In order to avoid the potential toxicity of V, two new α+β alloys Ti-5Al-2.5 ½ and Ti-6Al-7Nb were developed in the mid-1980s. The mechanical properties of these alloys are similar to Ti-6A1-4V, but the elastic modulus is about 105 ~ IlOGI^. Although it is far lower than traditional medical stainless steel and cobalt-chromium alloy, it is still much higher than the elastic modulus of human bone (10-40gpa), and Al element harmful to human body still exists. Compared with α+β alloy, β titanium alloy has higher hardness and toughness, and lower elastic modulus, so it is suitable for implant material in human body. From the 1990s, the United States and Japan began to focus on the development of β titanium alloy as the third generation of medical titanium alloy. At this stage, non-toxic elements Such as Nb, Ta, Zr, Mo and Sn are mainly added to the alloy. The performance design of the alloy tends to be low elastic modulus, strong wear resistance, corrosion resistance and good biocompatibility.

Ti-29Nb-13Ta-4.6Zr has excellent mechanical properties, but its elastic modulus is 84GPa, which is still much higher than that of human cortical bone. Therefore, Ti-Nb-Ta-Zr series alloys that can reach or approach the elastic modulus of human cortical bone and have high strength and good biocompatibility at the same time are expected.
