1) the instrument is light and light, which can reduce the damage to blood vessels, muscles and vessels during the operation, and reduce the fatigue of doctors. Titanium instrument is more suitable for fine microsurgery;

2) good corrosion resistance and non-toxic, equipment does not rust, wound is not easy to infection, wound healing quickly;

3) when titanium is used as pliers, tweezers and microscalpel, its elasticity is moderate;

4) when operating under shadowless lamp, the reflective performance of titanium is weaker and more suitable than stainless steel.

Titanium surgical instruments are scalpel, forceps, tweezers, chest extender, suture needle, suture surgical line, etc. The suture line is usually made of pure titanium wire (TA2 or TA1 wire) with a diameter of o.5 ~ 0.8mm. In women's birth control surgery, TiNi super elastic silk was also successfully used. The soft elasticity produced by super elastic silk can promote the rapid healing of wounds.

Compared with other materials (such as stainless steel wire), titanium wire has the advantages of small tissue response and good torsion resistance. After suturing, the surgical wound is not easy to be inflamed, and the bone suture site is not easy to shift. Bt1-00i pure titanium wire (l ~ 0.2mm) is used for sutures in Russia. The sutures of length l 000mm are wound on the wooden spool and installed in the polyethylene film.

Titanium also has many applications in auxiliary medical devices. If used as oxygen filter, oxygenator, water filter, blood automatic temperature control box, ultrasonic grinder.
