Titanium alloy is mainly used in the production of aircraft engine compressor components, followed by rockets, missiles and high-speed aircraft components. By the mid-1960s, titanium and its alloys had been used in general industry, making electrodes for electrolysis, condensers for power plants, heaters for oil refining and desalination, and environmental pollution control devices. Titanium and its alloys have become corrosion resistant structural materials. It is also used to produce hydrogen storage materials and shape memory alloys. Titanium alloy pipe is mainly used to connect various kinds of titanium equipment pipelines, used for the flow of materials between various equipment, the pipeline has the corrosion resistance of titanium itself, so as to replace the general pipeline for ordinary pipeline can not meet the needs of the place. General Ф 108 above all for the welded pipes.

Titanium alloy tube performance: titanium alloy tube is a new type of metal, the performance of titanium and containing carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and other impurities, the purest titanium iodide impurity content does not exceed 0.1%, but its strength is low, plastic high. 99.5% of industrial pure titanium performance is: the rho = 4.5 g/cm3 density, melting point is 1725 ℃, coefficient of thermal conductivity of lambda = 15.24 W/(m.K), tensile strength of sigma b = 539 mpa, elongation delta = 25%, reduction of area bits = 25%, elastic modulus E = 1.078 x 105 mpa, hardness HB195.

Oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and hydrogen are the main impurities in titanium alloys. The solubility of oxygen and nitrogen in the phase was higher than that in the phase, which strengthened the titanium alloy, but reduced the plasticity. Generally, the content of oxygen and nitrogen in titanium is less than 0.15 ~ 0.2% and 0.04 ~ 0.05% respectively. Hydrogen has little solubility in the solid phase, and too much hydrogen dissolved in titanium alloys produces hydrides that make the alloy brittle. Usually the hydrogen content in titanium alloy is controlled below 0.015%. The dissolution of hydrogen in titanium is reversible and can be removed by vacuum annealing.
