Niobium 521 is a new kind of high temperature and high specific strength niobium alloy material, which can meet the technical design requirements of attitude control engine. The material has the following characteristics:

(1) high service temperature (b≥70Mpa at 1600℃), which is more than 200℃ higher than that of wc-103 alloy.

(2) lower density (≤9.0g/cm3) can improve the load capacity, or increase the range, or increase the flight speed.

(3) it has good welding performance and anti-oxidation coating performance.

Chemical composition (mass fraction %) :

Nb - (4.5 ~ 5.5) % W - Mo - (1.7 ~ 2.3) % (0.7 ~ 1.2) % Zr - (0.05 ~ 0.12) % C - (0.01) or less % O - (0.01) or less % N - (0.002) or less % H, single impurity content is not more than 0.08%, the total impurity is not greater than 0.15%.

The Nb521 alloy will be 200℃ ~ 300℃ higher than the current wc-103 alloy, that is, from the current 1300℃ ~ 1400℃ to 1600℃.

Application: the niobium tungsten alloy plate is spun into nozzle tail skirt of various specifications, and then welded with the combustion chamber to form the engine thrust chamber, jointly undertaking the tasks of engine propulsion, rail change and capital transfer. The niobium tungsten alloy bar is forged, turned and milled into combustion Chambers of various specifications, and then welded with the nozzle tail skirt to form the engine thrust chamber, jointly undertaking the tasks of engine propulsion, rail change and capital adjustment. Because of its high specific strength, easy coating and excellent high temperature resistance, the alloy has become the body part of the thrust chamber of the attitude control engine.
