Niobium Parts Technology

  • Niobium material is malleable, can be cold forging, rolling, punching, pulling, spinning, extrusion, bending and other processing.
    Heat processing shall be carried out in a vacuum or protected state.

  • Heat treatment process: heat treatment must be under vacuum condition and 1100-1200 degrees Celsius. According to the material amount and material thickness to determine the heat preservation time, the niobium foil can not stack when recrystallization annealing.

  • Surface treatment: usually uses 180 mesh shutter grinding wheel to remove surface defects such as scratches, reoccupy siavlies180 mesh non-woven abrasive cloth mechanical polishing scratches on the surface of the processing, the surface state should be even.

  • Cutting and grinding performance: in order to overcome the phenomenon of adhesion, extrusion and surface roughness in the process of cutting, the coolant should be cooled by the coolant.

  • The commonly used welding methods are tungsten electrode argon arc welding, laser welding, electron beam welding, diffusion welding and brazing.

  • Niobium parts can be many different shapes, such as niobium tube, niobium bend, niobium flange.
