Porous tantalum-niobium alloy has a perforated pore structure with a porosity of 50% ~ 70%. The preparation method includes the following steps: tantalum-niobium powder and niobium powder are mixed well, and then a dispersing agent solution is added to mix well to obtain tantalum-niobium powder mixed slurry, and the tantalum-niobium powder mixed slurry is filled into the porous template to obtain a porous template containing tantalum-niobium powder mixed slurry; The porous template containing tantalum niobium mixed powder paste was vacuum dried to obtain a blank. In a protective gas atmosphere, the blank was degreased by heating to 400℃ ~ 600℃, and the blank was degreased. Porous tantalum-niobium alloy was obtained by vacuum sintering of the blank after degreasing. The porous tantalum-niobium alloy has a three-dimensional connected structure and appropriate porosity, and reduces the elastic modulus of the material on the basis of ensuring proper strength and porosity, so that the elastic modulus is close to that of human bone. The preparation method and equipment are simple, the cost is low, and the pore properties of porous tantalum-niobium alloy are easy to adjust.

Niobium and tantalum are rare and high melting point metals, their melting points are 2468℃ and 2970℃ respectively, and can not be prepared by spray method. Niobium and tantalum are also very ductile metals, which can not be directly made into powder by mechanical crushing. Tantalum powder can be prepared by compound reduction, but its oxygen content is high. Niobium and tantalum have good corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, good electrical properties, widely used in aerospace, electronic semiconductor, nuclear power, medical body implant and other high-end technology fields. However, the production process of their metal and its alloy products is complex, long and difficult, and the material yield is low. Therefore, it is very important to find a large-scale, low-cost and simple process for the production of niobium, tantalum and their alloys.

Porous medical hard tissue implantation materials have important and special uses in the treatment of bone tissue trauma and bone tissue necrosis, and the common materials are porous metal stainless steel, porous metal titanium and so on. As a hard tissue implant material, in addition to having good biocompatibility and mechanical properties, it must also have good biomechanical compatibility.

The biomedical porous tantalum-niobium alloy is prepared with a porosity of 50%-70%, a pore diameter of 300μm-500μm, an elastic modulus of 1.6-3.2Gpa and a compressive strength of 50-85Mpa. Biomedical porous tantalum-niobium alloy is beneficial to the adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts, and promotes biological fixation. At the same time, it also meets the relevant mechanical properties required for bone tissue replacement materials. While ensuring the high porosity, the elastic modulus of the material can be further adjusted by adjusting the composition content of tantalum-niobium alloy to reduce or avoid the occurrence of stress shielding.
