C103 has high melting point. Fabrication and processing techniques are including preparing ingots, welding, heat treatment and coating. Niobium hafnium alloy basically combines electron-beam cast with vacuum-arc cast to produce ingots. Then it will be extruded or forged over 1200℃. Under 500℃ the alloy goes through rolling and drawing. Finally Niobium Hafnium alloy can be manufactured into sheets, strips, rods, wire or other fittings.

Niobium hafnium alloy has good weldability. There are argon tungsten-arc welding and electron-beam fusion welding. Welding quality is related to the purity of argon and vacuum level. The purer the argon is, the lower remaining pressure is. Usually vacuum or inert gas protection are applied to the annealing, solution and aging treatment.

C-103 (Nb-10Hf-Ti) is a mainly established choice for the manufacture of lightweight propulsion systems used within the industry of aerospace. Niobium C103 is also used in the manufacture of liquid rocket thruster nozzles. The C103 alloy has 89% Niobium, 10% hafnium and 1% titanium. It is correct to state that Niobium C103 is a good material in way of product fabrication.
